Habit breaking appliance : They are done to break habits like thumb sucking and tongue thrusting.
Pit and fissure sealants : They eliminate deep pits and fissure of newly erupted tooth to prevent caries formation.
Filling : Decayed and fractured teeth of a child are restored.
Space maintainer : Early loss of milk teeth leads to constriction of space for eruption of permanent teeth hence space maintainers are required for eruption of permanent teeth in it’s original place without crowding of teeth.
Pulpectomy : Similar to root canal of an adult. It is done to save a tooth to prevent its early loss. This procedure involves using of resorbable material to fill the canal which facilitates the falling of milk teeth and eruption of permanent teeth on time.
Pulpotomy : It is done only when very small portion of pulp tissue is affected. The affected portion of pulp tissue is removed and a sedative dressing is placed and filled.
