Why teeth cleaning ? Teeth cleaning/Scaling is a procedure to remove debris, calculus, stains which cannot be removed by normal brushing. Scaling can be done once in every six months, it does not affect your teeth. It improves your overall gum health. Dental scaling is done using an ultrasonic instrument. This has a vibrating metal tip combined with a water spray. The tip chips off the calculus from tooth and gum surface. Scaling should be followed by polishing of tooth surface to smoothen the rougher surface thereby preventing further formation or attachment of calculus or stains.
